A Lovely Weekend In Scotland

We went up to bonnie wee Scotland at the weekend to sort out our wedding things...!

On Friday, we lodged the notice for our civil partnership with a wacky, fab and cool lady by the name of Maggie. P was so nervous she wrote her address as 7 McKinley Way, England.
LOL. Bless her cottons :) We were gutted to find out that Mad Wacky Fab Cool Maggie won't be the registrar conducting the ceremony but she did say she'd personally forward our request to one of her cronies!

We ordered our flowers on Saturday - P is having ivory roses, ivory freesias and thistles where I'm having purple freesias, ivory roses and thistles. P will be more cream/ivory while I'll have lots of purple (those of you who know that purple is my favourite colour will suitably roll their eyes at this moment in time!!)

We went to the castle on Sunday and were relieved to find it was still as beautiful as our memories served us. The flowers were in full bloom everywhere, a gorgeous mix of bright pink and purples. We met our wedding coordinator, Claire, who seems very efficient and wedding-planner-ish to go through all our plans and now it's all falling into place. Gulp! We'll get wed at 4, eat at 6 and again at 9.30 then go to bed at 12 (when the pumpkin arrives!)

We're getting wed outside by the fountain - P is terrified cos the sound of running water will make her want to have a pee, what with her nerves kicking in too. The ceremony might be a quick one if P needs to dash! We did consider giving her a bucket so she can stay put and just do the deed there and then but didn't think it would be very ladylike!

It's now 12.5 weeks to go until the wedding....WOW. The next time I blink, I'll be getting ready in the castle squeezing every part of my ample lower half into my wedding frock!

LOL! Poor P. You could arrange for the fountain to be switched off! Do we get to dunk you in it afterwards!?

My Goodness. I looked away for 5 minutes and there's 3 new posts!

Oooh it's all coming together chick. How very very exciting! Location sounds beautiful, even if P will be peeing her pants. If it was me it would just make me thirsty (ie the fountain, not the pant-peeing - important to get that straight I think ;-) )

Sorry been incredibly slack with email reply too... and thus here's a belated (or bleated, as i just typed)..... CONGRATULATIONS!!
Well done old chap! V V Proud of you etc

I always new you were a clever girl right from the first minute I met you all those years ago. Mmmm, cheese and spanish onion sandwiches ;-)

Wow, sounds very organised! Won't be much left to do now apart from getting into your dresses which am sure will not be a problem :)

Actually, I tried my frock on last night - it fits :-)

But my boobs are not ample enough for the top half so off to search for a padded bra!!!!!!
