It was a lovely quiet break to be had :) and we arrived in 2008 much more relaxed but feeling slightly pickled (as in pickled onion) with all the wine we've consumed!
New Year Resolutions:
1. To eat food in moderation;
2. To exercise on new gadgets in living room five nights out of seven;
3. To start a running programme;
3. To enjoy ourselves once a month with an evening of treats;
4. To be a comfortable size 14-16 by 16th April 2008.
Why this date? P and I have been invited to go on holiday with my parents and my sister and her hubby in Lanzarote. Anyone who remembers THE holiday when we went for my 30th, you'll understand :)
No, seriously, we need to get fit & we need to be a size smaller than we are, what with my dodgy knees and sore back (!) and with P's family history - she's put on weight in all the "wrong" places (my fault entirely, my home cooking and contentment go hand in hand) and could well be hurtling towards heart problems if we don't sort ourselves out.
I am simply noting this on my blog as a stark cold reminder of what we have to do!!
