What an experience! I went in for a deep clean & I hate the dentist with a vengeance anyway so was not looking forward to it. I closed my eyes cos I really don't like seeing what they're doing and the sight of all these sharp implements being wangled about makes me want to pass out!
However, as I had my eyes closed, the things being done were hurting my teeth so made me cry under my eyelids (if that makes any sense?) - when the dentist wanted to talk to me, I had to open them to bloody lipread and the tears just flooded out - oops. She was mortified/horrified and kept asking if I was OK - I just asked her to carry on cos once you've started, well...have to carry on!
I went to pay in reception and then went to walk out of the front door to leave - the receptionist then says hang on, before you go...*produces lovely bunch of purple hyacinths* - the dentist says sorry for making you cry...!
Cue smile and blushes - I've never been given flowers by a dentist before!!! Certainly beats a lollipop any day ;)

Wow. Don't advertise too much, otherwise the said dentist will become booked up / you won't be able to get in!
